Building
continuity
after prison.

Rebuilding a life takes time, connection and opportunity.

We are developing work that brings people's experiences into view and helps strengthen the relationships around them.

A person's next chapter
deserves care.

Leaving prison is one moment in a much longer journey. Finding stability, renewing relationships and making plans for the future take sustained attention.

Room for a
fuller story.

Continuity was established to develop work supporting people affected by the justice system and people facing difficult transitions.

Our aim is to bring storytelling, community knowledge and collaboration together around the lives people are rebuilding.

We are building this work step by step, with dignity and a fuller understanding of people's lives at its centre.

What we are building

Three priorities guide our development.

Stories with depth

Making room for people to describe their experiences in their own words, revealing the practical realities of starting again and the possibilities beyond a label.

Connections that last

Developing relationships with people and organisations working around release, reintegration and community life, and understanding where collaboration could help.

Work shaped by experience

Listening to people closest to the issues as ideas take shape. Their knowledge should help define what is useful, what is missing and what deserves attention next.

Through
The Gate

Stories of life beyond the gate.

Through The Gate is an independent audio documentary project led by Continuity founder Christopher Marston. It explores the transition from prison to life outside, with attention to the people, relationships and practical realities involved.

The aim is to create room for honest accounts of release and rebuilding. Continuity was established with the ambition of helping this work continue and developing wider community-benefit activity.

Talk to us about the project

A beginning with
a clear purpose.

Continuity Project CIC is a community interest company based in London and registered in England and Wales. It was founded by Christopher Marston to develop work supporting people affected by the justice system and people from at-risk backgrounds.

Christopher's background is in radio, documentary storytelling and creative production. He is bringing that experience into Continuity's development, with a focus on listening, collaboration and the lives behind the stories.

Let's build the
next part together.
